"THE BEATITUDES".

God's blessings are promised by Jesus in each of the nine beatitudes, posted at the first of the "Sermon" in Matthew's chapter five.  Each sentence begins with the word, "blessed".  Our English expression for this condition is beatitude, from the root word, "beatify".  We define "beatify" as having attained or received God's blessedness or having " God's favor".   Thus, "The Beatitudes" tell us that God's blessings are real, and provide great rewards.

  As you read The Beatitudes you see that  attitude is the key to receiving blessings.  Nowhere in his teachings does Jesus say your religious works are what causes God to act in your life. He taught about attitudes.  Your attitudes are what direct your acts and make them good or bad.  Understanding this will open God's storehouse of blessings to you.

                  BLESSING UPON YOURSELF
God, I have made a covenant of living according to your word and I claim blessings upon my life and the lives of my beloved ones. I ask for a blessing upon my health and the health of my family. I ask for a financial provision and that everything I touch have your blessings. Prosper me in such a way that I may be able to bless others through my finances. Give me creative ideas and strength to make riches, Father, I ask you in the name of Jesus, Amen
                    




                  BLESSINGS OF FRIENDS

Father, I give you thanks for each of my friends. I bless them today with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I ask that the power of God keep them away from all evil and danger, that they may understand the purpose of your calling and fulfill it faithfully, and make them a thousand times more than what they are now. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I give thanks to God for your life and because He chose you to be my companion. May God make you grow in stature as He did Ruth and Esther; may you find favor in the eyes of God and those that surround you; may the Lord bless the work of your hands and everything you do. I know that the promises of Proverb 31 are a reality in your life. You have been an excellent wife, an example of a mother and a leader, which everyone admires. may the Lord bless you with health, with peace, and make you a thousand times more than what you already are. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

    BLESSINGS UPON THE DAUGHTERS

I give thanks to you God for my daughter . She is a gift from You to our home. May You make Her like Ruth or Esther; may she find favor in your eyes and in the eyes of men,  Lord protect her and keep her emotions from any hurt; I ask You  Father to give her a good husband, a man fearful of God, that he loves her and will take care of her and protect her. That she be an excellent wife, a good mother and a great leader. May the Lord  prosper her and give her an over abundance  in goods and wisdom. Lord give her the desires of her heart and make her a thousand times more than what she is today. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Son, I give thanks to God for your life. I bless you with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. May the Lord's hand be upon you and make you his servant. May the Lord bless you with wisdom, with prosperity and with peace. That every day you live you use it to enlarge His Kingdom . May the Lord give you for a wife a virtuous woman who will bring happiness to your heart, and that you be an example for her. May God find favor in you and make you a thousand times more than what you are now. In the name of Jesus Amen.
